Yankees Finally Clinch

The Yankees finally clinched a playoff birth on Wednesday. They should have clinched a long time ago, but recently have been having trouble. They have not been playing good baseball of late. All they have needed was a Yankees win or a tigers lost. No granted this kind of clinh is not what the Yankees wanted. They really wanted to win the east title, but they will get in any way they can. Like the moto says, you have to be in it to win it.

The Yankees are now in the midst of one of the greatest streaks ever, this year will mark a 13Th strait trip to the postseason. The Yankees have won the AL east every year since 1998, but like i said before their in. This is where the Yankees do their damage except of recent years. The Yankees live in the post season.

What is very impressive is the way the Yankees have played since late may. The Yankees got off to one of their worst starts in franchise history. Alot of analyst counted the Yankees out of it very early on. And you cannot do that, because they are playing the game of baseball, and i should know. I played baseball for Cortland my freshman and sophomore year. Baseball is a very weird sport. It is about timing, can you do the things you need to do when it matters most, and the Yankees did that. When the games really started to matter, they did there best work. The Yankees have the best major league record since the All-star break.

I truly believe this is the year, if the Yankees don't at least make it to the world series i really think George Steinbrenner is really going to lose it. And you wonder what will happen to the Yankees next year. Only time will time, but like i said, baseball is a very weird game. On any given day the best team can lose to the worst team. That is why baseball;ll players need to show up to every game, and not take any opponent lightly.
