For people to interject the race card into the dogfighting picture in defense of Vick is crazy. The federal court should give the maximum sentence permitted by law. To impose anything less would be a fiasco, regardless of the sentence coming from a plea agreement worked in part to Vick's ultimate advantage of what would be a loss before a jury and a longer sentence. If Vick did the crime, Vick does the time.
This crime Vick and posse committed was evil. As a professional sports figure he needs to behave. What a shame for all the kids who looked up to him, especially those who have dogs and puppies. Animal cruelty often represents deeper underlying issues, so who knows what Vick may have graduated to if he wouldn't have been caught doing this.
Who knows what the future holds for mike Vick, in regards to jail time and his NFL career, hopefully the justice system will work how it is suppose to. I am curious to see what will mike Vick to after his jail time, what will happen to his NFL career? I am very interested to see what will be announced in regards to Michael Vick's jail sentence and NFL career.

I feel the same way about people playing the race card in defense of Michael Vick. He's probably only going to serve around a year in prison, but I don't see him back in the league for at least 3 years (meaning 2 more after he gets out). I think it would be good if he got back into the league just because of how great a talent is. I am a big advocate of giving people a second chance, especially considering this professional athlete is not much oldre than most of us, and I know we have all made some pretty bone head decisions in our time.
FYI, see Erin's and Shane's blogs about this too.
